In light of the recent tragic shooting in Sault Ste. Marie, where intimate partner violence escalated to a horrifying conclusion, I am joined by Paulette Senior, CEO and President of the Canadian Women's Foundation to move beyond "thoughts and prayers" to discuss real solutions and actions needed to address the widespread problem of intimate partner violence.

New material out of Hollywood is pretty slim right now, so thankfully we have Anne Brodie on the case, finding the best entertainment she can to keep us amused while we’re snuggled under our big blankets. This week we take a look at The Hands that Bind, which explores intense relationships between families and neighbours and comes to the conclusion that farming may no longer be a worthwhile way to live. Plus, we chat about two documentaries that will blow your mind, Beyond Utopia and Anything for Fame.

In partnership with Kal Tire, we're diving into a topic that's top of mind for many Canadians as we transition from fall to winter, ensuring our vehicles are winter-ready. With snowy conditions just around the corner, if not already here in some parts of Canada it's essential to be prepared, especially when it comes to our cars. Joining me today is a familiar voice, Tiffany Woodley, a specialist from Kal Tire, who joins me to share some invaluable tips to ensure our cars are equipped this season and we're safe on the roads.

Over the next few weeks, I aim to draw your attention to great Canadian companies that have amazing products and give back in a really meaningful way. Today I’m joined by Jordan Britton from Warm Social Coats. As the cold weather approaches, we're reminded of the importance of staying warm and cozy. But for many, a warm winter coat is out of reach. Jordan's company is doing incredible work to ensure that everyone has access to warm clothing, no matter their financial situation.

Finally, being proactive about managing our anxiety is the name of the game, but knowing what to try can be overwhelming. I’m joined by Sharon Devellis who routinely gives different health trends a try to assess if they really work. Today, Sharon joins me to discuss cold water plunges, Wim Hof breathing, and floating.
