In this casual conversation I chat with Tracy Verdugo- an inspirational artist who has had success globally with her vibrant, joy filled works as well as her creative workshops.
We chat about the metaphoric relationship between art making and life and how the dualities of life, for example, beauty and mess, holding on and letting go, chaos and order, planning and intuition are well practiced during the process of making art. Tracy shared her multi layered approach to her artwork and we drew the parallel to life layers.
We discussed the discomfort in uncertainty that many people experience, especially now, during a global pandemic and how and why artists seem to be quite comfortable with discomfort and uncertainty.
Other topics we touched on include:
Embracing contrast
Building on sweet spots
Self trust and confidence
Perfectionism
Permission to play
Curiosity
Triggers, boundaries & edges
Self compassion
With life changes do you feel like your mojo has gone on holidays without you - you know, that magical feeling that comes from being joyful and feeling connected, from living with purpose and having a creative flow.
Well, it's apt that Tracy's signature creative workshop is called 'Paint Mojo" - why not check out Tracy's programs at : https://amzn.to/33870BD or tracyverdugo.com
I hope you enjoy our conversation as much as we did. We would love your feedback- What’s your biggest insight or takeaway ...leave a comment and let us know.
