In this episode Oluwatosin Ogundolie is interviewed by the editor Aline Afanoukoé.
Oluwatosin Ogundolie (born Akinwale) is a doctoral student in computer science from Nigeria. Her research focuses on the development of an optimized model based on the CatBoost Firefly algorithm for flood forecasting. She believes that Africa is in urgent need of innovation, sustainable entrepreneurs and equipment adapted to the continent’s climatic and economic conditions. Equal access to science for women and girls would enable a more effective response to Africa’s biggest challenges.
She is one of the 20 African women researchers rewarded for the excellence of their scientific work through the For Women in Science Young Talents Program for Sub-Saharan Africa, led by The Fondation L’Oréal and UNESCO
