The International Day for Universal Access to Information calls for acknowledging and protecting our human right to information. This is achievable by mobilising governments, the private sector and civil society to value public access to information and to be concerned about their data. Ultimately, this would contribute towards SDG 16 that is to have accountable institutions for inclusive societies.
In this episode, UNAM Youth will unpack “The Right to Know: Freedom of Information Towards the Public Good" with guest speaker Dr. Lim Chee Han, Senior Researcher of Third World Network (TWN) and Dr. Rachel Gong, Senior Researcher at Khazanah Research Institute (KRI) alongside moderator, Maryam Lee, Head of Information Knowledge Management at UNAM Youth.
