Luis Soto is a Bilingual Forensic Certified Peer Specialist (CPS), Certified Recovery Specialist (CRS), Recovery Coach, and a graduate of the PPLA Advanced program. He has an extensive background in recovery principles and leadership development, honed through the Philadelphia Peer Leadership Academy and the Leadership Development Program Tier 1.
Luis has made significant contributions to the behavioral health community through his work with PRO-ACT, where he served as the bilingual lead volunteer. He is the founder and President of Inspiring the Latinos, Inc., and the Co-Founder of the Latinos in Recovery Support Group at PRO-ACT. This support group consistently brings together over fifteen individuals each week, providing vital support and resources.
Professionally, Luis serves as a PAD Assistant Program Manager for the Office of Criminal Justice in the City of Philadelphia. In this role, he is part of a team that oversees the PAD Program and organizes Pop-up Resource Fairs citywide.
Luis is also a person in long-term recovery, celebrating over 13 years of sobriety. His leadership is characterized by his willingness to help and support others, making him an effective and compassionate leader in the recovery community.
