Is the UK sleepwalking towards weaker human rights protections? While the economic and political consequences of the UK’s exit from the EU have been, and continue to be, fiercely debated; there has been little discussion about the impact Brexit will have on human rights protections in Britain. Dr Katie Boyle is a constitutional lawyer specialising in human rights and a senior lecturer at the University of Roehampton. Katie says the UK is sleepwalking towards a new constitutional order where basic human rights are a lot less secure.
