The UN and Humanitarian Action: Learning Lessons from Past Experience for Future Policy. This event took place at the Weston Library on 16th October 2015. In keeping with the idea of 'Witness', each of the sessions will be introduced by panellists invited to address the session topic from their direct personal experience. In the discussion, participants will be invited to identify lessons from their experience, which could contribute to UK policy and the positions advocated by NGOs, in the lead-up to the World Humanitarian Summit in May 2016. Participants will be invited to contribute in advance short written 'Witness Briefs' related to one or more of the session topics, which will be shared with other participants and the Bodleian Library's UN Career Records Project. The proceedings of the seminar will be recorded, also on behalf of the UN Career Records Project.
