A conversation with Free Mom Hugs Founder Sara Cunningham Like so many of us, Sara Cunningham, the founder of Free Mom Hugs, is the product of a long theological journey. At first, she didn’t give her son Parker space to have honest conversations about his sexuality, within the context of the ideological constructs of the world she was in.
But after Parker’s story cracked her open, she became an advocate and ally, offering the unconditional mother’s love and acceptance to so many that she once didn’t know how to extend.
