In episode 3, we interview Wendall Pelham. This is a bit of a different episode. There are no racquetball tips or segments. Instead, this is an inspirational and emotional story regarding Wendall’s son, John Pelham. John was an avid racquetball player with high aspirations.
For more details about John, you can check out Prigo’s great article here. From the article:
“On February 7, 2014 he wrote on his Facebook page, ‘I can’t wait to play racquetball again.’ On February 12, just five days later, Army Specialist John Alexander Pelham passed away due to wounds he sustained from small-arms gunfire in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in the Kapisa Province of Afghanistan. He was 22 years old.”
Wendall talks to us about the Tournament of Champions here in Portland, Oregon where he is a tournament host, the Live Like John Foundation, his son John, his hope to help veterans through racquetball, and much more.
