Sometimes we can get to a certain place in our business, in our perception of ourselves, where we begin to believe that we have outgrown or surpassed a certain level. And typically that certain level is working for free or working for a certain amount. This belief is influenced by our ego and sometimes our inflated ego will compromise the entire foundation of our business.

This is one of the most prolific lessons I had to personally learn in business to make sure I stayed in business. If you don't understand this principle, your ego will ruin your business.
