Everyone believes politicians lie. They believe that all of them lie. Republicans lie, Democrats lie-it is a bipartisan problem. Politics is a profession and it should be of grave concern that there is no real means by which politicians are disciplined for telling fibs in the public domain as other professionals might be. Their voters relentlessly defend their candidate’s lies by comparing the amount of lies told versus their opponents. We seem to have forgotten that a lie is a lie regardless of the intent behind it. Tonight, we are going to discuss the lying in politics and present the question “When is enough, enough?”
