Day 234 of the Holy Bible One Year CHALLENGE. 2 Chronicles 16-18 covers the end of Asa's reign, including his failure to rely on God, leading to illness and death. Jehoshaphat, his son, becomes king and strengthens Judah's spiritual commitment. He unwisely aligns with wicked King Ahab of Israel, but is saved by God's intervention in a failed battle. Paul reminds the Corinthians of the gospel message and emphasizes Christ's resurrection, which assures the resurrection of believers. He argues that without the resurrection, faith is futile. He warns against bad company and urges them to wake up to righteous living.
