“No, please don’t kill me Mr. Ghostface – I wanna be in the sequel!” It’s time for horror parodies and so we’re tackling the 1996 classic ‘Scream’ directed by Wes Craven. 😱🔪🩸 We compared the poignancy of the original to its many sequels, discussed the difficulties of effective satire in the age of media oversaturation, and described the surprisingly accurate portrayal of misogyny and masculinity in the first Scream movie.
