Project Serpo is an alleged top-secret exchange program between the United States government and an extraterrestrial civilization from a planet called Serpo, located in the Zeta Reticuli star system. The story first emerged in public discourse in the early 2000s through a series of anonymous emails sent to a UFO discussion group. According to these emails, the exchange program began in the 1960s, following the recovery of an alien spacecraft in Roswell, New Mexico, in 1947. The story goes that live extraterrestrials from the crash provided information about their home planet and later facilitated the exchange program.
