It is a snowy Christmas Day here in Montreal Canada. I wanted to wish you happy holidays - hope you’re taking some time off to recharge and relax as we approach 2023!
Our guest today is Marlo Johnson. Marlo is a phenomenal artist and author of 2 books: Creative Alchemy: Meditations, Rituals, and Experiments to Free Your Inner Magic and Create Now!: A Systematic Guide to Artistic Audacity. Her art is an exploration of the relationship between consciousness and physicality. She creates as a reminder to bring herself back into states of positivity and she offers her art to others as a similar inspiration: a way to propagate and normalize peace, compassion, joy, and feminine power. Each painting is meant to be used as a tool for meditation and the awakening of a particular state of being. In her words: “sit with it, quiet your mind, and observe how it makes you feel.” We’re gonna touch on a lot of these points - you’re gonna notice even the tone of this talk is more serene and calming. That’s because I spent a good amount of time observing her works before the recording!
