There’s a good chance you’ve probably not heard of the author, but Lettie B. Cowman’s compilations and writings have challenged and shaped millions of people over the years – including me!

I remember picking up a special edition of Streams in the Desert and Springs in the Valley in my early 30s. It had been my grandma’s favorite devotional and since it was on clearance, I bought it. Little did I know it would become a much-needed companion that I’ve returned to often throughout the years.
