It’s time to talk about, maybe the most debated topic in women’s football, equality. When the topic equal pay is raised it often leads to heated discussions between two camps. One camp, the faithful supporters and athletes, who understand the level of sacrifice and effort female athletes have to put into their sport, often with more obstacles in their way than their male counterparts. But not only that, they also understand that it takes investments to elevate the game. The other camp sits on the argument of simple economics; you don’t attract the same crowds, TV and sponsorship deals so why would you get paid the same. But is it really about equal pay? And what do we mean by that term?
Joining us today is Chelsea and Denmark forward Pernille Harder, PSG and Denmark forward Nadia Nadim and our host, Rocky Hehakaija.
