When the Miami Dolphins selected Scott Mitchell in the fourth round of the 1990 NFL Draft, the University of Utah alumnus was convinced he was destined for a back-up roll. Three years later, however, an Achilles tendon injury suffered by Dan Marino thrust Mitchell into the role he had always dreamed of.
