This weekend, we speak to Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo, a London-based actor and voiceover artist and one third of the Dungeons and Dragons podcast Three Black Halflings.
She has carved a diverse career for herself since leaving The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, premiering Danai Gurira's The Convert at the Young Vic; you can listen to her on BBC's Doctor Who spin-off The War Master: Hearts of Darkness, alongside Sir Derek Jacobi; she can also be heard voicing multiple characters in video games.
If that sounds like a lot, she is also, first and foremost a theatre practitioner in her own right, teaching at Guildford School of Acting, guiding young actors along the drama school path.
We will be talking about how she manages the life of a working actor, her own personal development, the drama school system and how those pieces fit together post-graduation.
