Throughout the book of Amos, we have seen that God’s people are going to face God’s justice for their transgressions. In the final chapter of the book, however, we see that through their destruction, there is a promise of eventual restoration - the justice and the mercy of God come together, something that is fully realised in the person and work of Jesus Christ.
