Commemorating the 40 Year Release of the cult horror classic "Madman"... my guest on this bonus episode of The Brooklyn Blast Furnace is Tom Candela. Credited as "Jimmy Steele" in the movie, he played "Richie", the loud mouth teenager who screams out "Madman Marz'" name and sets off the rest of the movie with Madman killing everyone else in the film while he survives. I honestly thought this was going to be a mini episode that would be a half hour long at the most. We go into the filming of the movie and the enormous underground cult following of this film. The impact it had on horror fans of my generation and why it had such an impact on me. Tom was easy to talk to and we didn't even realize how long we were going.
