Heather currently calls Lisbon, Portugal her home. She is a Disabled Veteran and a single mom from New Jersey. Furthermore, she is the cofounder of Black in Portugal & the founder of The Lisboa Melanin Collective. While living in Lisbon, she has created an entire thriving community for the people of the African diaspora, ranging from expats not only from America but from 20+ other countries, while bridging the gap within the local African diaspora.
