Welcome to the Americhicks podcast. Kim Monson is your host - Agree or disagree, let's have a conversation! Today is the anniversary of the September 2001 terrorist attacks on this nation. Kim and Steve share some thoughts and memories concerning those horrific attacks on this nation. Is "King Polis" too snarky of a label for Governor Polis? Maybe we, as involved citizens, can prevent our elected officials from behaving like kings. It looks like Robert Muller covered up involvement of Saudi Arabia in the September 11th attacks on this nation (tinyurl.com/yyraax6f). Kim is joined by Scott Weiser who has written a new piece for Complete Colorado about the Alamosa Education Association's collective bargaining agreement with the Alamosa School District (tinyurl.com/y68hzq6k). The agreement may well be contrary to Supreme Court’s Janus decision. Tariffs on steel imported from China and Mexico have been getting a lot of attention. Recently, the Trump administration has levied duties of up to 141% on Chinese structural steel and up to 31% on Mexican structural steel. Why? And what about the history of American Steel over the past few decades? Kim talks with Bill Roth who recently retired from a long career in the U.S. steel industry. ________________________________________________ Copyright 2019: The Americhicks W/Kim Monson Visit us at www.americhicks.com To have someone contact you about advertising on the radio program, the podcast, or the Americhicks website visit:www.americhicks.com/contact and fill out the form.
