Alain was in Grade 5 when he started having crushes with the same sex. He tried to hide it because he heard from the church that gays go straight to hell. Moreover, he knew he would be condemned by people. Alain was closer to his mother than to his father who was strict and verbally abusive. But despite his gay tendency, he had a crush on a girl in elementary until High School. He prayed to God that if the girl would be his wife, he would build a family with her. But that didn’t happen.
