This week on the Superlative Podcast, host and aBlogtoWatch Founder Ariel Adams is joined by Matthieu Haverlan, the Managing Director at Ulysse Nardin. Ariel starts the show by having Matthieu talk about his rising path through Ulysse Nardin from being a Chief Commercial Officer to being the Managing Director of the brand. They dive into the ownership change of Ulysse Nardin from the french luxury group Kering to its current owner, Sowind Group SA, which was awarded by Deloitte as one of Switzerland's Best Managed Companies of 2024. As they move on to talk about the brand and their watches, Ariel asks Matthieu about his preferred primary way that he wishes to see Ulysse Nardin use to sell their product, and how formative experiences in certain places, like Paris, can influence someone into becoming a watch lover. While addressing how they can appeal to younger generations of enthusiasts with a good price point, Ariel asks about their range of pricing and how that enables them to compete with entry level brands as well as higher costing luxury brands.
