2. Bad Haircut | Marvel's "The Eternals", Ancient Footprints in New Mexico, Enki and Enlil
Manage episode 319545550 series 3299697
Welcome back to our second episode ever of Studio Roots Radio. On this show Joe and I are bringing to the table all things studio related. And also other stuff because we're best friends and band mates.
I show you the worst hair cut I ever got and why while Joe teaches us about impedance issues. We talk about Marvel's the Eternals and as usual, that leads into ancient mythology talk. One simply can not talk about Marvel movies without also discussing the ancient mythological plugs that are in there.
It was plugged with The Emeral Tabels of Thoth, the Epic of Gilgamesh and even another god's name I can't remember like Enkida or something like that. No disrespect to all the ancient gods are out there.
Joe surprised me with a delectably intriguing article concerning ancient footprints that have been discovered right in our backyard, New Mexico. We live in Denver but New Mexico is pretty dang close. These footprints have been dated to more than twenty thousand years ago.
And of course, you can not bring up ancient discoveries without me talking about ancient gods. So we get back into a book I recently bought called "The Book of Enki". Apparently, Enki is the ancient "Lord of Earth" that is the God of Noah who instructed him to build the ark.
Join us for this episode. I remember laughing a lot and learning just as much.
Listen to joe and I's band Alfred and the Teddinators. We have a new live record called "Psycho Gringo: Tale of the Feathered Serpent". It is our new record as a live record before the studio record drops. First time in history this has been done.
We have a new jamcast called "Can't Do That" showcasing our acoustic bluegrass skills.
And speaking of studio records, don't forget "ShredCity Bodega" is still crushing the charts. But our new record doesn't have keyboards. Surprise!
