We're back true believer!! Episode 2, Season 1 is upon us and we're just gonna get the Utica-stuff and Wrestling-stuff out of the way, early. Tim Woods, also known by his ring name "Mr. Wrestling", was a professional wrestler who was active from the 1960s to the 1980s. He was born on July 28, 1934 in Utica, New York and started his professional wrestling career in the early 1960s. Known for his hard-hitting and technical style, as well as his charisma and in-ring showmanship, Woods competed in various regional promotions throughout the United State, including the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) and the World Wide Wrestling Federation (WWWF). One of the most famous incidents in Woods' career occurred in 1975, when he was involved in a plane crash with fellow wrestlers Ric Flair, Johnny Valentine, and Bob Bruggers. The crash left him with a broken back and other serious injuries, but he managed to crawl out of the wreckage and flag down help. This incident became known as the "plane crash that changed wrestling", and is often cited as one of the reasons why wrestling became more mainstream and popular in the 1980s. Despite his relatively short career, Tim Woods is still remembered as a legendary wrestler, a pioneer in the industry and just maybe, "The Man Who Saved Wrestling". As a bonus, Famo leads Randal on a fascinating roadtrip through the most "Kayfabe-breaking moments" in Pro-Wrestling history. All that and more on Episode 2: "The Man Who Saved Wrestling"!!
