I am Randy Andrews your host. Today on Soundtrack Alley, I’ll be interviewing Heather Snodgrass a debut novelist for the book A Love Letter to Reading. We’ll discuss her book at length and the curated playlist for the main character. We’ll discuss also how music shapes peoples lives and how it changes lives. And with the written word, there are always more ways to look at music or at art and see something residing inside us. Heather Snodgrass is the debut award winning author behind A Love Letter to Reading —Its a novel that blends adrenaline-fueled suspense with the healing power of music. The book’s main character, Ariana Rossi, is a nurse by day and a trained assassin by night. Yet in the darkest corners of her double life, she relies on music not just for inspiration, but for survival. Ariana choreographs every kill to a carefully curated playlist. For her, music becomes more than background noise—it’s how she drowns out guilt, stays present, and makes sense of unbearable emotions. Heather drew from her own lifelong relationship with music, weaving in the idea that sound can anchor us through chaos. Heather used various elements of her own life including portions of music from the playlist from her Husband, her friends in the film industry and other elements to create this very personal yet very exciting and enjoyable reading experience. If anyone has ever experienced the multi-media project of Star Wars - Shadows of the Empire, this book and playlist will be for you. Here in the notes is a link not only to Heather's website but also her instagram as well as the actual Spotify Playlist . First of all Soundtrack Alley's theme music is composed by Alexander Scheibel you can find his work at xanderscores.com Heather Snodgrass website is found at authorheathersnodgrass.com Heather's instagram is found at https://www.instagram.com/melted_heathbar/ the Spotify playlist for which you are excited to get into is found here. https://open.spotify.com/embed/playlist/7kk1R2ns9lT5lTeBgXtBRk?utm_source=generator Here also is a link to buy the book on Amazon A Love Letter to Reading Please check out my website www.soundtrackalley.com follow the podcast through your favorite podcasting app. Follow for more info through my social pages www.instagram.com/soundtrackalley www.x.com/soundtrackalley www.facebook.com/soundtrackalley www.tiktok.com/frumpysketch…

Hello, I am Randy Andrews, your host. This is yet another older episode that got lost to the void. Eric Woods and I did three of the Indiana Jones films on Soundtrack Alley and then did Crystal Skull over on CSR. This episode is still my favorite Indiana Jones movie. Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, My show went through two iterations before I brought things back to the original title of Soundtrack Alley. Now I’m sharing this episode again. I hope you enjoy this! Eric Woods and I go into detail on the film and its background. We discuss the behind the scenes, the sets, the locations, the action and adventure and so much more. This film is really so much fun and concludes a trilogy that should have stopped and stayed unique in its film time. This episode will involve discussing some of the trivia from IMDB curated and then discussing some of the liner notes from the deluxe edition of the score of the film. Then we will discuss some of the brilliant music from the master John Williams. Eric Woods as you know is a talented podcaster who runs Cinematic Sound Radio and I am a part of his podcasting network. There are several shows associated with the network. He has been doing the podcast or a form of it for over 25 years. He’s a good friend from Kitchner Ontario Canada and is a great admirer of film scores. He also has a Patreon where you can join and share in the playlist and the exclusive shows only to Patreons With the show we discuss points on the film and background on the production of the movie. After that we go into the cues from the film, some we will do a selection of two to three cues per section and we discuss background on the different selections Then we promote our shows The theme for Soundtrack Alley is composed by Alexander Schiebel and you can find his work at www.xanderscores.com Please check out my website www.soundtrackalley.com follow the podcast through your favorite podcasting app. Follow for more info through my social pages www.instagram.com/soundtrackalley www.x.com/soundtrackalley www.facebook.com/soundtrackalley…

Hello, I am Randy Andrews, your host. This is another older episode that got lost to the void. Eric Woods and I did three of the Indiana Jones films on Soundtrack Alley and then did Crystal Skull over on CSR. This episode is a little dated, but the facts remain and the music still stands tall. Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom originally marked the 50th episode of my show. My show went through two iterations before I brought things back to the original title of Soundtrack Alley. Now I'm sharing this episode again. I hope you enjoy this! Eric Woods and I go into detail on the film and its background. We discuss the behind the scenes, the sets, the locations, the action and adventure and so much more. The reason this film stands up so well is because of how tightly written it is. This episode will involve discussing some of the trivia from IMDB curated and then discussing some of the liner notes from the deluxe edition of the score of the film. Hello, I am Randy Andrews, your host. This is the Sixth episode in a series of episodes for Star Trek This one is of course for Star Trek VI The Undiscovered Country , this film is my second favorite Star Trek Film with Nicolas Meyer directing. I'm really excited about this episode Eric Woods and I go into detail on the film and its background. We discuss the behind the scenes, the sets, the locations, the aliens and so much more. The reason this film stands up so well is because of how tightly written it is. This episode will involve discussing some of the trivia from IMDB curated and then discussing some of the liner notes from the deluxe edition of the score of the film. Then we will discuss some excellent music cues from Cliff Eidelman and how he really made the film stand on its own. Hello, I am Randy Andrews, your host. this Episode is a day late and I apologize for that. This is the Fifth episode in a series of episodes for Star Trek This one is of course for Star Trek V The Final Frontier, Its considered the worst made Star Trek Film ever. We actually challenge that. Its better than people think. Eric Woods and I go into detail on the film and its background. We discuss the behind the scenes, the props , the models, the actual movement of a story that makes Star Trek, Star Trek. If you know, you know. This episode will involve discussing some of the trivia from IMDB curated and then discussing some of the liner notes from the deluxe edition of the score of the film. Then we will discuss some key music cues from the film and see how those affect us. Jerry Goldsmith pulled this score out and created an amazing wondrous piece of music that stands high on the films for Star Trek.
