Ep. 28 - Barbara Cuesta - Between Germany and Spain
Manage episode 367239562 series 3435899
A quick conversation with Barbara Questa!
Barbara Cuesta's musical journey has taken her from indie-pop artist to theater musician, and now to the release of her new politically conscious album, "Euforia."
With the founding of her own label, Santianes Records, she embraces a queer approach to music production, involving diverse individuals with different backgrounds.
The album, sung in English, German, and Spanish, offers a quiet but impactful exploration of queer, female, non-binary perspectives through indie folk tracks. The album's track, "A Head Will Roll," has already gained recognition in Berlin's music scene. "Euforia" stands as a successful and timely contribution to the discourse on race, class, and gender.
