Today's podcast is about builders, the building construction industry and its effect on the economy. The housing market is very curious. But there's places in the country where you can't touch housing because of inventory shortages. And then of course, all the negative news about the recession and housing prices. So it's a tough thing to to figure out where we are, when it comes to how builders are affecting the economy, not only nationally, but at the local level.
When the economy is good, and the homebuilding industry is vibrant, the amount of people that are employed and benefiting from that is powerful. It's not just the builder or the banker; it's everyone involved on the project as well as the local economy,
