Here’s the reality: in this new model, an agent who’s good at what they do is going to garner the rate they’re worth and the buyer is going to agree to it. -James Dwiggins

The NAR settlement has caused an industry shake-up so massive, it has many people questioning their future in real estate. Everyone’s wondering if this shift will take them out of real estate entirely.

It doesn’t have to.

The change is scary, but it’s actually not a negative. It can be a lucrative opportunity for an agent who’s providing value.

For the first time ever, a listing agent isn’t dictating your compensation, and that means you can create a premium, elevated service a buyer can’t resist. If you’re making the buyer's experience better, there’s no way you won’t get paid well.

From tiered offerings to additional services after the home sells, the sky is now truly the limit!

If you’re afraid of the change, ask yourself this: would a buyer pay for the service you provide right now? If not, how do you create a service so valuable a buyer will happily pay for it? How do you keep yourself out of hot water?

In this episode, we’re joined by real estate insider and CEO of NextHome, James Dwiggins. He shares clear ways we can articulate our value and the unique opportunities agents can take advantage of.

Three Things You’ll Learn In This Episode

  • What buyers will definitely pay for Most agents are scared of the new normal because they don’t think they can get compensated. How do you make sure you have a service people will pay a premium for?

  • The opportunities no one is talking about If we’re focused on going back to how things used to be, we’ll miss the lucrative opportunities in front of us. What are some of the creative strategies buyer agents can use to be more valuable?

  • How to keep yourself out of hot water A change in legislation can be tricky to navigate if we’re not paying attention. How do we avoid taking unethical or illegal shortcuts?
