As a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, Emily believes that working from a holistic approach creates more room for the individual to resonate with what works for them in becoming more familiar with their innate sense of self and the person they hope to become. Emily integrates Reiki energy healing into therapy sessions if desired or will do a series of Reiki healing sessions independent of therapy. Emily has a strong felt sense of the energetic nature of life and utilizes her finely tuned intuition from decades of studying and experience to get directly to the proximal points of change with her clients.
In her therapy work, Emily uses a combination of depth-oriented psychology, psychodynamic (present focused), and EMDR for specific traumas or difficult repeated emotional experiences such as anxiety and depression.
Emily creates beautiful sacred space for individuals while they are working with her on their healing journey to wholeness. Emily’s work is deeply rooted in the belief of integrated wellness. Emily believes in the power of collaborating with other health and wellness professionals (with a signed release of information of course) that her clients work with to collaborate on a greater and more focused healing result for the client.
Emily’s goal is to create an open and trusting relationship to explore identified issues and find those issues that may not be presenting but still causing issues; her work with clients through their journey is her honor and privilege.
