I’m Jaer Christie, and I'll be taking you on a tour of living folktales, myths and legends from cultures around the globe — the stories that everyone knows, but you’ve never heard of, the stories that shape how entire societies see the world. Our first series explores the myths of Mainland China, where I lived for six years. During my time there, I asked a bunch of people a lot of questions about the stories they'd grown up with - and ended up peering into a world full of stories I'd never imagined.
