In this episode of The 10 Code Mindset, I offer insights, real talk, encouragement, and solutions about the continuous threat of suicide within the first responder community, particularly law enforcement. Recently, I've read about two suicides in the past week, and it's heartbreaking. We can't just keep hoping for change; we must take action for change, from an individual level to an organizational level. Will we stop every suicide? No, but we can reduce these numbers when first responders start understanding the threat, taking it seriously, and begin taking action.
