On this episode of Make the Connection – to End Human Trafficking, we talk to Abby Germer of Refuge for Women, a long-term residential healing program that serves survivors of trafficking for up to two years.
Abby shares her own journey of involvement in anti-trafficking work and the mission and work of the organization. From providing survivors with trade skills and therapeutic benefits to navigating healthcare and finding adequate placement, the organization confronts a host of challenges in caring for residents who have suffered immense trauma.
