Father Chris Alar, MIC, is the Provincial Superior of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of Mercy Province of the Marian Fathers of the Immaculate Conception in the United States and Argentina. The Marian Fathers of the Immaculate Conception are entrusted with spreading the message and devotion of Divine Mercy.
Fr. Chris gives an easy acronym for remembering the devotion to Divine Mercy – FINCH.
- F – The Feast of Divine Mercy
- I – The Image of Divine Mercy
- N – The Novena of Divine Mercy
- C – The Chaplet of Divine Mercy
- H – The Hour of Divine Mercy (3:00pm)
He goes on to explain the formula for holiness on our pathway to Heaven with a simple A, B, C approach.
- A – Ask for God’s mercy.
- B – Be merciful to each other
- C – Completely trust in God’s mercy
Fr. Chris wrote and produced the popular "Divine Mercy 101" and "Explaining the Faith" YouTube series and is the author of the bestselling books After Suicide: There's Hope for Them and for You, as well as Understanding Divine Mercy. He is host of the EWTN show Living Divine Mercy, which airs on Wednesdays, 6:30 p.m. EST. From 2014-2024, he served as "Fr. Joseph, MIC," the Director of the Association of Marian Helpers.
