'Being a Pane In The Glass', 'Being Doggone Stubborn', & 'Tempting a Tenant to Sue'
Manage episode 430308577 series 3410861
The plaintiff says she hired the defendant and paid her in full to install a new window. She claims it’s a scam company, because she still doesn’t have the window a year later. She’s suing for a refund. The defendant says she ordered the custom window, but the wrong one arrived. She reordered another one, but the plaintiff wanted out of the deal. The defendant claims it’s not fair since she is out for a restocking fee and prep work.
Then, the plaintiff says he came home from a weekend away to find his cat wrapped in a blanket on his porch, dead. He says the apologetic defendants admitted their two rescue dogs killed his cat, but then he reported the incident. He’s suing for cremation fees, the memoriam, and a new cat. The defendants say they don’t believe the cat was the defendant’s, and he’s trying to scam them. They say their dogs were investigated, and they never hurt a fly. They think a bobcat spotted in the neighborhood must have attacked the poor cat.
Plus, the plaintiff says she was a good tenant for the defendant, but now the woman is ripping her off by withholding her security deposit. She’s fighting back and suing for what she’s owed. The defendant says the plaintiff shortchanged her on rent and left the place a mess. She’s not returning a penny.
