In this episode, I discuss a study that explores the impact of workplace anxiety. In this episode I summarise the key findings which includes the role of affective rumination on helping behaviours at work and translate how you can utilise the findings from this study into practice. The study I am discussing in this episode is Calderwood, C., Bennett, A. A., Gabriel, A. S., Trougakos, J. P., & Dahling, J. J. (2018). Too anxious to help? Off‐job affective rumination as a linking mechanism between work anxiety and helping. Journal of Occupational and Organizational Psychology, 91(3), 681-687. You can access the original article here: https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/pdf/10.1111/joop.12220 If you enjoy the show then don't forget to subscribe and please leave a rating.
