Russell has won numerous local, national, and international awards for her community service and is an advocate for voices that often go unheard or undervalued. Russell earned a Bachelor’s degree in Zoology and Chemistry and with her Master’s Degree in Pathology, worked as a trained medical technologist and supervised cancer research studies.
