In episode 46, Jacqueline talks about her ever-changing relationship with the scale. After many discussions with her therapist, Jacqueline has decided that it is best for her mental health to stop weighing herself and using the scale to justify actions and behaviors. Jacqueline and her therapist talked about why the scale has played such a huge role in her journey and why some of that thinking is what may be holding her back when it comes to making progress with her mental health and recovery from her binge eating disorder. Jacqueline discusses why using the scale as a way to determine weight loss success is a dangerous and slippery slope for someone who may be struggling mentally with food and/or their weight. Jacqueline shares how her therapist explained why it is important to have different ways to measure your progress rather than using the scale as a sole determining factor in your progress. Jacqueline shares some thoughts and points that her therapist has helped her with, in hopes to help others who may find themselves on a similar journey can be inspired by what she is sharing. If you find yourself struggling with the scale as well as your weight loss journey this podcast may just be what you need in order to help you think about something different and help you on your journey.
