This week we sit down with Myles, a southern queer currently living in the Windy City. And let us just say- their southern accent DOES NOT disappoint, nor does this episode. We talk about identifying as nonbinary and how that relates to navigating pronouns, seeking medical treatment and top surgery. Myles elaborates on the differences in seeking HRT while in the rural south, compared to big city Chicago, and how finding Camp Gender Bender was positively life altering for them. They also discuss being on hormones and how that has affected them not only physically, but mentally as well and how those changes have related to his current relationships. Fun fact- C and Myles not only access HRT through the same LGBTQ+ center (Howard Brown Health in Chicago) but they also had the same top surgeon (Alison Shore)! Comments? Questions? Whatever?
