Greetings, Leaders.

Where are you heading, and what will the impact be of your arriving there this year?

My friends, be encouraged!

God loves you and has a destination, “CONQUEST,” in store for you!

As you plan for life and career goals, allow God to help you launch the most fantastic adventure of a lifetime in life and career!

One great leader, Simon Peter, was a fisherman in ancient times. One day, after toiling all night and catching nothing, he received the invitation of a lifetime.

When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Now go out where it is deeper, and let down your nets to catch some fish.” Luke 5:4

This bold invitation made no sense for a seasoned, professional fisherman.

Our calling to a new assignment and objectives may seem the same. Nevertheless, consider the insight we gain from Simon Peter’s response.

“Master,” Simon replied, “we worked hard all last night and didn’t catch a thing. But if you say so, I’ll let the nets down again.” Luke 5:5

What happens next will be an awakening to accomplishing the seemingly impossible in life and career.

Simon Peter launched out into the deep waters that morning and cast his nets despite what his experience told him was futile. He then catches so many fish that his boat is about to sink from the abundantly more than he could imagine that he is now experiencing.

He falls to his knees and acknowledges only God makes this happen. He is overwhelmed by the event and acknowledges his condition.

“Depart from me, for I am a sinful person.”

He is encouraged that this is the beginning of his destination, “CONQUEST!”.

“There is nothing to fear. From now on, you’ll be fishing for men and women.” Jesus - Luke 5:8

What do you sense God is saying about your destination and leading you to do and become today?

Here are three insights Simon Peter shares now, many years later—Humility, Belief, and People.

Humility: He admits his inadequacy for the calling. Now, years later, at “CONQUEST,” he writes;

“God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble. So, humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time, He will lift you up in honor.” Peter – 1 Peter 5: 5-6

Believe – Peter accepted the invitation to “launch into the deep for a catch” by simply believing that what is promised by God is fulfilled by God. He believed and acted on his belief even despite his doubt.

This decision is a critical point for every great leader. We must believe.

People – Simon Peter discovered that people are the purpose of every blessing we receive in life and career. He grows from being a self-centered, bold, outspoken, impulsive, and rash man to a dynamic and impactful leader.

Peter shares this insight with us. “Care for the people God has entrusted to you. Not for what you will get out of it, but because you are eager to serve God. Lead them by example. And all of you, dress yourselves in humility as you relate to one another.” Peter - Reference: 1 Peter 5:1-11

My friends, take the first step, believe what He says, and launch where He leads!

Victory!
