In the second episode of the Storm Chasers podcast, Jeff Brown and Joe Chong return to discuss the final four regular season games from the Seattle Storm season, dating between Friday September 9th and ending with Sunday September 18th. That includes wins over the Washington Mystics, the Los Angeles Sparks, and the Chicago Sky. And unfortunately a drubbing down in Phoenix against the Mercury. This includes several interviews from different players and Coach Jenny Boucek for the 09/11/16 game against Los Angeles and the 09/18/16 game against the Chicago Sky. We include player interviews from Sue Bird, Breanna Stewart, Jewell Loyd, Ramu Tokashiki, and of course, Coach Jenny Boucek. In this episode, I also interview Joe on what it was like to be a first time Seattle Storm season ticket holder this season. What he enjoyed and even if there were things he didn’t like. We also include a special interview from the Chicago Sky’s Courtney Vandersloot from the July 17th game. Where she talks about her love of the Seattle SuperSonics growing up, what her team needs to do to make the playoffs, and what it’s like playing in front of her home-town fans. We wrap up the podcast by discussing the final standings, playoff scenarios, and the end of season awards for MVP, Most Improved Player, and Coach of the Year.
