Welcome back to The Retro Blood as we continue our 3rd annual Holiday Horror review month in the 1980’s. Up Next, we bring in the New Year Bloody with 1987 “Bloody New Year”.
Join James Kline and J. A Alison as we go to the haunted time wrap Grand Island.
We start off with some quick thoughts on the film and why we don’t go out on New Years. We then get into our last review of the Holiday beer we are drinking this season.
Then we get into our weekly History Segment where we talk about what was going on in Pro Wrestling and Metal around the movie release (on VHS) date October 22, 1987.
In Pro Wrestling we continue to talk about the territory World Class from Texas with their weekly TV show from October 22, 1987, with the rankings of the world champion and a Iron Sheik and Matt borne match. James Kline also explains what's was happening in worlds Class during earlier 1986 to Oct 1987.
In Metal we talk about the band Sepultura and their album “Schizophrenia”. Alison talks about the band's history up to 2024 and this album.
Then we get into Who book this Shit!!
We talked about the director Norman J Warren and what he has done in film and TV.
We talked about why this film was made and how long it took to come up with a script.We talk about the filming locations and how much they rented the amusement park for. We talk also about how they got a group of people to work for free on this movie. Then we get into the full review of the fun house group gang and how useless they were. We talk about time wrap haunted Island confusing plot. We talked about Lesley trying to get some on a pool table. We talk that cool snake staircase thing and of course Spud failing at trying to get some ass.
So, find yourself some American girl and bring her randomly on your sailboat and have it sink up next to a time warp haunted, demon, zombie Island and listen up to the Retro Blood talk all about “Bloody New Years”.
