Real producer and top realtor Stacy Allwein's mantra in life is fully described in this line: "Word hard, play hard and love hard!"
While running a high-powered real estate business, she devotes her efforts to support people in dire need of help. As a result, she is awarded the Frederick County Association of REALTORS® 2018 Community Service Award and the Frederick County "Do-Gooder" award for all that she does to give back.
Discover what compels her to help as many people as she can and be inspired by her journey as she shares her story in this new episode of the Real Estate Success and Support show with Kristin Brindley.
Key points covered in the episode:
✔️ Success means helping other people. For Stacy, she compassionately volunteers to help those that are suffering from addiction. Her career in real estate started from a painful family tragedy after losing her brother to a drug overdose. The stress made her decide to leave her career as a director in the biotech industry for many years. "I had two relatively young kids, a husband, and work was stressful. So that was one thing that we decided that we could control. We had been investing in real estate for some time and decided that one of us would become a realtor. And it made sense for me to do that. So that's where it began in 2008, which wasn't the best time to become a realtor, but that's where it began."
✔️ The importance of seeking guidance. Stacy Allwein attributes her real estate success to receiving coaching, constantly learning about her chosen career, and working on self-development. She's had the same coach since 2010 and brings in the experience for her whole team to get on their next level.
✔️ A career in real estate fulfills dreams when you dare to pursue it. Stacy has nothing but gratitude for taking action despite the challenging choices she had to make. "I believe that I did the right thing when I left my job and the support of my husband. He was 100% supportive financially; it was a really hard decision, and we had some tough times when I first got into the real estate business. Having great coaches and mentors guided me through the process. I couldn't have done it without having those people surrounding me."
✔️ Hard work pays off but doing the right thing is what's vital in this industry. "It's important to always do the right thing no matter what. I'm a rule follower. And so, whether it's following the rules or just doing the right thing in life, I think it's essential."
