Thanks for joining the conversation as we discus what it means to seek first the Kingdom of God. Learning the cultural and missional meaning of “seek first the kingdom of God” is the greatest foundational truth any follower of King Jesus could learn.

To better understand the Kingdom of God we will take time discussing all the different verses and concepts that speak of it. Here are a few key verses we will be looking at today:

Matt 4:17 From that time on Jesus began to preach, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.”

Matt 4:23 Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people.

Col 1:13 The Father has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son

Matt 6:33 Pursue, go after and seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. -

• SEEK: Pursue, Go After passionately.
• FIRST: (prōtos) in time, place, order or importance ; before anything else is done; first of all:

Matt 13:44-46 “The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and covered up. Then in his joy he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field. 45 “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant in search of fine pearls, 46 who, on finding one pearl of great value, went and sold all that he had and bought it.
