Due to the historical trauma of enslavement, many Black parents are working to break the chains of punitive parenting styles rooted in fear. In this episode, Dr. Nanika Coor speaks with Trina Greene Brown, founder of Parenting for Liberation, about every day ways to reimagine one’s parent-child connection, advocating for Black children at school and caring for yourself as a parent so you can better care for your Black child.
