Argentina Lithium receives exploration permit for Paso de Sico Concession

Argentina Lithium Vice President of Exploration Miles Rideout joined Steve Darling from Proactive to announce a significant milestone for the company. Argentina Lithium has received the exploration permit for its Paso de Sico mining concession, part of the larger Rincon West Project in Salta Province, Argentina. Located adjacent to Rio Tinto's Rincon Project, the Paso de Sico concession has now been greenlit by the provincial Secretariat of Mines and Energy for extensive exploration, including diamond and rotary drilling. The company is preparing to mobilize a diamond drill to begin a six-hole exploration program aimed at evaluating lithium brine potential within the concession. Rideout shared that the program will involve approximately 8,000 meters of drilling across the Rincon West Project over the next 18 months, with plans to complete brine resource assessments, water resource studies, and related drilling. This initiative is supported by a prepaid drilling contract established in 2023, which provides funding for up to 15,500 meters of drilling. The Paso de Sico concession is a contiguous assembly of four mining concessions, covering a total of 791.3 hectares on the northern edge of the Salar de Rincon. Situated 50 kilometers northwest of Olacapato village, the property benefits from an operational base nearby, enabling streamlined logistics and efficient exploration activities.
