Our Lone Star story of the day: State Rep. Gary VanDeaver (R-New Boston) was a paid consultant for a lobbyist group representing public schools while in office and serving on education committees. VanDeaver’s two-timing the taxpayer is an example of what is grossly wrong in Austin and hopefully voters will turn him out in the upcoming GOP primary runoffs.
Also in the campaign stack of interest:
- SD30 runoff hopeful Hagenbuch recorded calling property tax elimination “ridiculous” and yet advocates of such have endorsed him – go figure!
