Podcasting is an EXPENSIVE hobby — if that's all that it is. In this episode, we're talking about why treating your podcast purely as a hobby is a bad idea. The challenges of time, necessity of research, and the required financial investment in creating and maintaining a high-quality podcast are why most "hobby podcasts" fail — especially for those attempting to do everything on their own. As always, we recommend outsourcing as much as you can (editing, clip creation, etc), but comes with its own costs. Rather, it is important to think of your podcast as a business.
